It was so hot this morning going out to the subway that I felt like Alec Guinness in "Bridge on the River Kwai," when Col. Saito stuffs him into the hotbox for refusing to work alongside his men.

When I exited the 4 train stop at Wall Street, there were 350 Brit soldiers in torn, sweaty fatigues singing "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow."
